The Wine Program
235+ Wines. One Vision.
Every wine on our list was chosen for a reason. We source from biodynamic and small-production producers — farmers and winemakers who work with the land rather than against it, whose bottles carry terroir and intention in every pour. It is the same philosophy that guides our kitchen: authenticity over convention, craft over volume.
The list spans the world's great wine regions, curated to complement the flavors of Persian-Mediterranean cuisine — the sour cherry, pomegranate, saffron, and dried lime that define our table. Burgundies that echo the brightness of Shirazi salad, Rhône blends that mirror the depth of Ghormeh Sabzi, skin-contact whites that play beautifully against Mirza's smoke.
The wine program received the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence in 2024 — recognition that places it among a small group of Westchester restaurants honored that year.

Our Philosophy
Why the Wine Matters
The name Shiraz is not incidental. Shiraz was the capital of Iran from 1750 to 1800 — a city of beautiful gardens, scholars, poets, and ancient wine culture. It is home to Hafez and Saadi, two of Persia's greatest poets. It is also, historically, one of wine's earliest homes.
When Chef-Owner Reza Parhizkaran named his restaurant Shiraz Kitchen & Wine Bar, he was drawing a line from that heritage to this table. The wine program is not an afterthought — it is an act of cultural continuity. Biodynamic wines chosen for the same reason his mother chose her ingredients: with intention, care, and a deep respect for what the land provides.
That is what you drink at Shiraz Kitchen. Not just wine. A point of view.
"Come, fill the Cup, and in the Fire of Spring
The Winter Garment of Repentance fling."
